Called the “emperor of black-n-grey realism” by Tattoo Life, Neon Judas is one of the most recognizable voices in dark realism working today. Based in Berlin, he’s built a body of work that’s unsettling, cinematic, and technically relentless — with a background in painting that came long before the tattoos did.
Over two days, Neon Judas will take you through his working process from start to finish: how he approaches design, how he builds his images in Photoshop, and the thinking behind how he makes realistic images read the way they do. Then he’ll put it into practice with a tattoo demonstration, walking you through his approach as he works so you can see the theory hold up on skin.
